The breakfast tacos here are an absolute must-try, with homemade tortillas that capture the authentic essence of Mexican breakfast fare. Customers rave about their menudo, often labeled as the best in the valley, creating a loyal following.
The all-you-can-eat lunch buffet from Wednesday to Friday for just $10.99 is a crowd favorite, drawing in regulars each week. The vibrant flavors of the carne guisada and cheese enchiladas win over even the pickiest of eaters.
Speedy service and consistently fresh chips and salsa receive high praise from diners. The staff provides an outstanding level of customer service that keeps guests coming back. Parking is ample and free, making it easy to drop in for a meal, whether alone or with a group.
Most Disliked
Some patrons find the decor and ambiance a bit dated compared to newer restaurants in the area, which can impact the overall dining experience. However, many agree that the quality of food more than compensates for this.
The café can get busy during peak hours, especially on Sundays around 11 AM, leading to longer wait times for tables. To avoid the rush, visiting during weekday mornings or off-peak hours presents a much more relaxed experience.
Occasionally, they run out of popular dishes during lunch hours, specifically on busier days, which can be disappointing for those looking to try specific menu items. Planning to arrive early during lunch specials can help ensure you get your favorites.

We've been here many times, and their menudo is consistently delicious! I think it's the best I've had in Weslaco. They have breakfast all day; just ask for the breakfast menu. My son loves their omelets! They put lots of cheese and bacon. I'll try to come during the week for their lunch specials. Everyone is nice and welcoming.

Hands down, the most underrated restaurant we've been to in the Valley! It's so freaking good and very reasonably priced! My husband is not a big cheese enchilada person, but he eats these right up! The carne guisada was so tender and full of flavor (better than another highly popular restaurant in Weslaco-imo). The chips and salsa were very fresh and definitely homemade- so good. It wasn't too spicy but full of flavor! The rice is not your typical orangy color but it is very good! Currently they offer a lunch buffet from Wed-Friday for $10.99. I was sad to see this place so empty today because it's really just that good. They mentioned that during the summer it's a little slow during the week, I'm assuming the nearby schools give them the most business. But honestly it really deserves to be busy daily. If you're in the Weslaco area, I highly recommend giving this place a try. Don't let the dodgey exterior/interior fool you. Their customer service is also top tier!

Great place to stop and have breakfast or lunch . Their plate selections are off the chain. Best menudo in the valley so far. The hospitality is superb. Will definitely have to visit once I come through Weslaco again. Thank you!

Food was absolutely delicious. Cozy restaurant with great food and service. The breakfast burrito was loaded and the cheese literally cascaded off the burger. Mmmhhh..
